“I WOOOOONNN’T!!
YOU CAN’T FERKING MAKE ME” Jon screamed as he turned the corner and carried on sprinting down the beige on beige hallway.
“You’ll never cut my lucious locks of hair! NEVERRRRR!!! DO YOU FERKING HEAR ME!!”
Turning the corner, clipping Jon’s heels were about 20 people, male and female all wearing the same variation of a jumpsuit in one of three colors; Beige, Grey, or military green.
Jon sprinted to the end of the hall.
No exit.
He was trapped.
This was surely the end.
The leader, a calm, average sized person that had been leading the charge said, “Jon we’re not going to hurt you, we just need to shave your head, assimilation is unification.”
Jon’s brain referred to, ‘them,’ as ‘they,’ not because he was being PC, or abiding by their laws, but because he genuinely struggled to know which ones were male, and which were female. “I know your bullshit! Not a chance, my hair is staying right where it is, securely attached atop my immaculate head. Taking my hair IS hurting me, it’s my identity!”
They closed in around him.
One in a green jumpsuit clicked on the clippers.
The terrifying buzzing got closer and closer to Jon’s Head…
And right as the clippers were about to slice the first of his precious hairs…
He was woken up by the heat of the sun cooking his face. He opened his eyes and squinted, then realized how uncomfortable he was from sleeping on dirt. Yurk, I hate time traveling to the 1840’s then being forced to travel to small towns in the southern United States via horseback.
“Uhh I had the creepiest dream about the early 2100’s in Idaho Anna Iris, it was terrible.”
“What a wildly odd, and unintentional human experiment Idaho was during that time period. The way they all conformed to being genderless and adopted sameness as a way of life. Extremely dull if you ask me, I’ve never had a fun conversation with one of them, they all just talk about work, and being ‘ONE with each other and nature’.”
“RIGHT!? Eww. And they wanted my hair Anna, they wanted. My. Hair!”
